- Hashim Amla has been appointed South Africa's Test captain,becoming the first black cricketer to hold the post permanently.He takes over Graeme Smith,who retired from International game in March.South Africa's first black test cricket captain was Ashwell Prince who led the team after Graeme Smith withdrew because of injury.
